Hello and Welcome to Junior Infants B! You will find us in Room 3 @ St. Tiarnach's Primary School, Clones. Our teacher is Ms. Beggan and our resource teacher is Ms. Tierney . We have lots of fun in Junior Infants but we also work very very hard. We are very busy bees all year long and are very eager to learn. We hope you enjoy our blog! Slán :)
On Friday the 19th of May Junior Infants enjoyed their school tour in GR8, Castleblayney! We had a super time bowling, playing mini golf, building with lego and playing in the soft play area. We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed travelling by bus to get there. Everyone loved the activities and were quite tired on the way home (we even had a few sleepers!). Here are a few snaps of what we got up to :-)
On Wednesday the 15th of March all classes took part in our annual Ceolchoirm! Junior Infants were fantastic performing An Hakka Gaelach and two songs as Gaeilge. The infants had their faces painted with shamrocks and scary markings to try and intimidate the audience when performing An Hakka Gaelach! We have been working very hard preparing for our performance and everyone did an excellent job! Maith Sibh go Léir!
Lily and Diarmuid all set for our ceolchoirm!
Spring has sprung in Room 3! We have been learning all about spring time and the changes in our environment during spring. We have been learning about many different spring flowers and completed some spring art work below. We all hope the weather improves a little to make it better for new plants to grow and baby animals to play outside :)
We have been creating some spooky ghosts and spiders during Aistear this week! Take a look at Lily, Justina and Diarmuid's masterpieces!
A big 'Hi!' from Room 3!

We have been working very hard in Junior Infants since returning from our Christmas break! We have begun Guided Reading with Ms McCarville's class and love our reading stations on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning. Our Theme this month is 'Spring' and 'The Farm'. We have been learning lots about signs of spring and new life during the spring months!
On Thursday the first of December we welcomed a new visitor to Junior Infants! 'Buddy' the elf arrived with a lovely new book to watch over our class and report back to Santa Claus! Buddy moves every night and returns back to the North Pole! Before we come into school each morning he comes back to keep watch and help Santa create his naughty and nice list. On Monday we found that he has even made a little elf home so he is definitely comfortable in Room 3! We will keep you updated on his antics throughout the month of December :-)
